Wine Overview

AOC Cotes de Bordeaux

Slightly dry, Bordeaux wine, usually preferred by the more experienced Chinese wine drinkers, produced by a Small Family Owned Chateau

 

The vines & Vineyard

Planted in gravel and clay “terroir”, benefit from favorable South / South East facing slopes and plateaus.

The vineyard is situated in the Cotes de Bordeaux Cadillac appellations, and encompasses 65 hectares.

 

Grape Type

60 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 % Cabernet Franc

 

Vinification

The grapes are de-stemmed, then sorted on a table in the cellar. Cold maceration occurs before fermentation in thermo regulated stainless steel tanks.

Bottling

At the Château, traditional and original French bottling.

 

Tasting

With a ruby colour, the wine offers notes of liquorice, cherries jam and toast. It is full-­bodied, fleshy, ample and well balanced. Serve at 16°-­18°C.

 

Pairing

A versatile wine that goes well with pork, lamb, beef, and various seafood (Salmon, tuna, shrimps, etc.). Ageing: 5 to 6 years
